I’m Cassie: narrative guide, adventurer, creative mentor, writer, and wayfinder through messy middles, dark nights, and life’s wildest seasons

I help those feeling lost, stuck, or ready to burn down their business and their life – or pack it into a rucksack and run off into the wild (like I did). Wherever you are on the trail, I’m here to help you find your way back to yourself and into the stories you’d rather be living, businesses you’d rather be building, or books you’d rather be writing.

Whether you’re caught at a quarter-life crisis or a mid-life crossroads, navigating a personal or professional polywilderness, or simply feeling overwhelmed and exhausted by the sheer number of directions you could take, I’m here to help you find the trail again. From big dreams like writing a book or pivoting a creative business to owning your voice or discovering your unique direction, I work with your stories to shape support that works for you so you can re-calibrate your inner compass and make your own map.

From my days documenting the world as a travel writer and disaster relief worker to navigating death, dementia, business buildings (and burnings), and the crashlanding(s) that imploded my old life and caused me to shift my focus from outer journeys to inner ones, I know life is not a one-size-fits-all adventure. But, no matter which wall or corner we’ve ended up running/backed into, I believe there’s always a hidden door to a better path – and it all starts with our stories.

Rather than offering 4-step formulas or fluffy promises, I weave together narrative therapy with practical tips to help you go from being a character in a story you’ve found yourself stuck in to the author of the one you’d rather be living.

When I’m not writing my own stories, you’ll likely find me road-tripping with my cat, searching for ghost towns in the outback, or hanging with my creative community, The Lemonade Factory.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked as a travel agent, trip planner, writer, disaster relief worker, narrative practitioner, and creative business mentor, supporting hundreds of people to live better stories, build better businesses, and turn unplanned crises into wayfinding adventures.
