To me, a good life is like a good story: rich in creativity, curiosity, compassion + connection, as well as the odd hold-onto-the-seat-of-your-pants, out-of-your-comfort-zone adventure.

Hey! I’m Cassie. After years of living on the road as a travel writer, I’m now on a new journey – helping us all live the lives we dream of – and make the most of the time we have here on this beautiful planet – through words, workshops, and mentoring.

As a creative mentor, writer, photographer, and bucket-list adventure planner, I use the forces that have so heavily shaped my life – especially those of creativity, curiosity, loss, grief, awe, and wonder – to help other people make the most of their wild and precious lives.

Never one to let life get in the way of a good adventure, over the last 15 years, I’ve travelled the world, worked in disaster relief and built a creative career (and multiple creative businesses) from scratch – all while navigating loss, death, and dementia. Now, it’s my absolute honour to be able to take all those lessons and share them with others to help them transform their lives for the better, too.

When I’m not at my desk, you’ll usually find me out in the bush with my camera, road-tripping with my cat, camping under the stars, searching for ghost towns in the outback, pottering around my garden, or writing my weekly newsletter, Making Lemonade.

For more than a decade, I’ve been a professional writer. I’m also a creative mentor and a passionate advocate of using the power of writing and creativity to heal, process hard things, and find our way to a better life.

I genuinely believe all of us have the potential to make more of our lives, but sometimes we all just need a little helping hand. When things get hard, it can be all too easy to put our creative dreams – and our life dreams – on the backburner, and just focus on putting the fires out in front of us.

My goal is to flip that around and help people create a life they love – be it through creative practices, holistic business support, writing + creativity workshops, helping you with website copy, or even bucket-list trip planning; because there’s nothing like heading out into the big, wide world when you feel like you’re in a rut.

Yet, while most of us can’t pack up our lives and travel the world for seven years living out of a backpack like I did, there are plenty of other ways that we can rekindle that creative spark and start taking steps to building – and living – the lives we dream of.
